monday AI Pricing Model for 2026: A Deep Dive Into Credit Consumption, Cost, and More

How does monday AI pricing work?

The entire monday AI portfolio uses AI credits as its shared pricing model. Beyond May 6th 2026, this model moved from a 'seats only' to a hybrid 'seats + AI credits' structure.

Moreover, monday Work Management, now monday AI work platform, is the only product affected by this change. Customers can now purchase both seats and AI credits for their setup.

The seats cover platform access, and credits support AI usage. Indeed, the monday AI pricing model runs on a single credit currency. There's no per-feature add-on.

Currently, the AI credit pricing is USD 0.01 per credit. A few things to note:

  • Credits renew monthly and won't roll over.

  • The Admin Panel shows a full usage breakdown (by feature/by user).

  • Admins can set usage limits per feature + per user.

  • All monday AI capabilities and products share a single credit bucket.

This one-currency structure for the full AI fleet is built for governance, visibility, and value.

Company owners perceive AI pricing models with a mix of scepticism and high demand. They think AI services should cost less than human equivalents.

Even then, businesses struggle with dynamic 'token-based' costs. According to Josh Bersin, AI pricing is only going up, especially in the absence of the right governance.

That's where monday AI pricing comes in. As of 2026, the platform has shifted its values and how it sells AI capabilities. monday.com users now have to pay for outcomes, not access.

This 'one currency, full fleet' model helps organise governance and tone down unnecessary spending. In fact, BusinessWire reports that monday Work Management has rebranded itself as an AI Work Platform for its 250,000+ customers.

In this blog post, we'll discuss monday AI credit pricing in detail.

The monday AI Pricing Strategy: Explained

You might be wondering why this shift happened. Well, it goes beyond a mere pricing update.

This shift is how monday.com portrays its value and sells AI. Users can now pay for outcomes and not access.

Think of it this way: Earlier, you would have to buy individual AI add-ons priced separately. In the new model, all AI capabilities are included, and you pay for the 'fuel that powers them.'

The more they scale, the greater elevation they reach. Similarly, the more credits you use, the more value you'll get from the journey. Price will grow with value and not headcount.

How Much Does monday AI Cost?

This 'one currency, full AI fleet' concept is beneficial for the users. Why? Well, you get access to every AI product under one unified credit system.

There won't be any add-ons to buy since usage will drive costs. For example, all capabilities such as Notetaker, Vibe, Agents, and Sidekick will now run on a single credit currency.

The monday AI credit cost will be USD 0.01 for one credit. They'll get renewed every month without any rollovers. Also, one credit bucket will be shared across the full suite.

Ideally, this new credit system is built for governance. Admins can check the full usage breakdown. They can also set limits based on features/users in the AI Admin Panel.

Enterprise vs Pro: The Different Structures

Enterprise vs Pro
Enterprise vs Pro

The Enterprise vs Pro debate is everywhere. Right now, the monday AI pricing model makes Enterprise the most attractive choice for larger deals.

Here's how:

  • Enterprise: Seats + AI credits sold as a bundled package. This will be at a fixed ratio (1 seat = 800 credits/month). You'll also get a discount that scales with package size.

  • Pro: Two separate line items (Work Management seats + AI credits bucket). There's no built-in discount, and credits are mandatory. You'll have to get a minimum of 3,000 credits/month. (USD 30)

  • Basic/Standard: AI credits are a mandatory add-on. You'll get 1,000 credits (USD 10) and 2,000 credits (USD 20) every month, respectively.

Note: Consumption for monday Agents has started, but monday Sidekick remains free.

What Changed in the Model monday AI Credit Pricing?

Did you know that the monday Work Management has been rebranded? It's now the monday AI Work Platform.

After May 6th, the pricing model moved from a seats-only system to a hybrid of seats + AI credits. The seats will cover platform access, and credits will be for AI usage.

The changes include:

  • New Accounts: Bundled AI credits with seats on the first purchase. Credits become mandatory for all new touch deals.

  • AI Capabilities: Notetaker, Vibe, Sidekick, Agents, and Workflows will now run on a singular credit budget. There is no per-feature add-on. This rollout is phased across May and June.

Note: This change only applies to monday Work Management. The CRM and Service products remain seat-based.

Before May 6th 2026

All monday AI capabilities were sold and priced separately.

  • Agents: Free until June 9th.

  • Notetaker: USD 1 per hour, sold in buckets. (120, 250, 400, 750, 1,000 hours)

  • Sidekick: For Pro and below, 5 messages per user per day are included with USD 10 per seat per month for 100 messages. For Enterprise, 100 messages per user per day.

  • Vibe: USD 10 per app in buckets of 10,25, 50, and 100+ (Enterprise over 50 seats can purchase 25, 50, and 100)

  • Workflows: For Pro, 5 active included with 20 WF add-ons. And, for Enterprise, 250 active with a 100 WF add-on.

After May 6th 2026

One unified credit system.

  • Agents: Credit consumption for Pro and below accounts only.

  • Notetaker: 120 credits per hour.

  • Sidekick: Free for all users now, but the model is under revision.

  • Vibe: A paid add-on. App usage now consumes credits (30 per message). Accounts with AI credits will receive 1 to 5 free published apps based on tier.

  • Workflows: Same active WF inclusions with 8 credits per AI-infused workflow run.

Note: All new wire accounts will automatically fall under the new monday AI credits pricing model. However, this isn't a migration and won't shift how the platform works.

The Mandatory Bundle for New Enterprise Accounts

Did you know that the SaaS enterprise applications market will witness a 20.5% CAGR? By 2035, it can reach USD 2.03 trillion.

monday.com wanted to leverage this growth. In the new AI credits update, Enterprise touch deals will have seats and AI credits sold as a bundled package.

You cannot decouple this on the first purchase. For instance, the full bundle solution will be available in CPQ. That means you'll have the ability to add more credits or seats as separate line items.

The Bundle Structure

Here's the bundle structure for the new monday AI pricing model:

  • Fixed ratio (1 seat): 800 AI credits per month.

  • Minimum package: 20,000 credits per month + 25 seats (USD 200 per month in credits)

  • Baked-in discount: This will be applied to the full package, and the percentage will increase with scale.

You'll also get a 10-seat/8,000-credit tier for SMB accounts. After the initial package is chosen, you can increase one dimension (seats/credits).

What Will Happen to the Existing monday.com Accounts with AI Access?

monday AI
monday AI

Statistics suggest that the AI SaaS market was valued at USD 22.21 billion last year. By 2034, it'll reach USD 367.60 billion, exhibiting a 36.59% CAGR.

monday AI wants to stay at the forefront of this growth. That's why they ensured existing touch customers aren't affected too much by the new model.

Take a look at the benefits:

  • Transition not mandatory: Transitioning to the new monday AI credit pricing system isn't mandatory at launch. It'll be driven through renewals and sales incentives.

  • Discounted packages: Customers receive the same discounts as new account holders.

  • No mid-contract transition: There won't be any forced migration date for the new model. You'll get a 30-day notice in case a cutover comes.

  • Purchased AI add-ons (before May 6th): Accounts with Vibe, Sidekick, Notetaker, and AI Credit add-ons will stay on the old experience. One exception will be AI Agents. Actions will start consuming credits from June 9th.

  • Credit calculator: From June 1st, you'll get a credit calculator. This will convert your existing add-on spend into an equivalent credit bucket, making the transition cost-neutral.

What if you never purchased the AI add-ons? Well, you'll get a one-time trial credit grant to experience the new model. (Available until July 6th)

  • 6,000 credits for Pro or below.

  • 12,000 credits for Enterprise.

Note: Once moved, you cannot go back to the old model. And, these transfers cannot happen mid-contract.

The monday AI Credit Mechanics

According to Business Insider, AI token costs are about to plummet. Why? That'll be due to improved and efficient AI models.

monday AI credit also starts at an affordable rate of USD 0.01 (1 cent) for each credit. When it comes to credit bucket pricing, annual billing will always be lower than monthly.

Example:

You're buying 8,000 credits per month.

  • It will cost USD 100. Or, USD 1,000 a year.

  • But, annually, it'll have a discounted price of just USD 80 per month. That'll be USD 960 a year.

Let's say your enterprise wants to buy 160,000 credits.

  • Per month, this will be USD 2000. Or, USD 24,000 a year.

  • If you take the yearly plan, this will cost USD 1,600 a month. That'll only be USD 19,200 a year.

Beyond these, you'll get a free daily allowance included in every plan.

  • Basic, Standard, and Pro: 50 credits per user per day.

  • Enterprise: 1,300 credits per user per day.

Nuances to Remember About monday AI Cost

monday.com appointed a new EMEA Leader to drive the next phase of AI growth. This proves their commitment towards transforming into an AI-native platform.

The new monday AI credit cost model highlights a few things for users to remember:

Only Work Management

monday AI pricing only affects Work Management (or, AI Work Platform). Both CRM and Service AI functions remain seat-based.

Are you a customer with multiple products? In that case, AI credits only apply to Work Management usage. Moreover, existing clients with AI add-ons can buy multi-product deals at renewal.

SO for CPQ

In CPQ for Enterprise, the package is a single line item. It'll be labelled 'AI Work Platform.' This represents seats and credits at the bundled ratio.

What about additional seats? These will be separate line items. They'll have a Standard credit price with the same existing discount.

For the Pro account, you'll get two line items. That'll be Work Management Seats and AI Credits Bucket. There won't be any built-in discount on either of those.

OneAI Bundle Not Available

In the CPQ, the OneAI bundle has been blocked for both new and existing accounts/customers at renewal. Are you an existing monday.com user on the OneAI bundle? Then, you won't be able to renew it.

The recommended swap? At renewal, get the AI Work Platform bundle + a Vibe add-on with added discounts.

Multi-Product Bundles

New clients can buy the AI Work Platform bundle. But they can no longer get the Work Management + CRM or Service one.

However, existing clients who never purchased add-ons can still get multi-product bundles upon renewal.

Live Quotes

Were you sent a quote before May 6th? Then, that'll be respected only if it was given after January 1st 2026. They'll remain valid even if the monday AI pricing model changes.

Note: Let's say your account cannot have approved AI features. In that case, there is an approval flow that needs VP RevOps' sign-off. Once approved, you can purchase seats only with fully disabled AI + zero credits.

The Endnotes

This new monday AI pricing structure has made one thing crystal clear. What's that? Well, the era of per-feature, opaque AI billing is over.

With the single credit currency, you can run the entire monday AI fleet. This lets you use a pricing model that matches the way you 'actually' use monday AI.

The monday AI cost will affect the pricing model beyond May 6th 2026, at scale, across teams, and workflows. Priced at USD 0.01 per credit, it comes with admin-level governance tools and a unified usage dashboard.

Did you know the monday AI Portfolio is built for accountability without complexity? It doesn't matter which plan you're on. The shift to 'seats + credits' structure means you only have to pay for outcomes.
